October 5, 2015: Officials have confirmed the deaths of a pregnant adult, another adult, and two children in an explosion on the I35E ramp earlier this week. The ramp became immersed in flames for approximately one hour after the collision of an 18-wheeler and another vehicle in the early morning hours of October 5, 2015. The crash may have resulted in the death of another child, but this has not yet been confirmed by the Dallas County Medical Examiner. The collision and flames were so profound that officials are unable to identify the make and model of the second vehicle at this time. A spokesperson from the Sheriff’s Office, Raul Reyna, reported that the vehicle became wedged underneath the 18-wheeler causing the fuel tank to burst and the vehicle to erupt in flames. All victims of the crash were in the second vehicle. The driver of the 18-wheeler did make it out of the collision okay.
